It may be separated from the preceding alkaloid by chromatographic techniques. Yunusov, Shakirov, Plekhanova, Dokl. Akad. Nauk. Uzbek SSR, 10, 17 (1958) ALKALOID CV-A C23H27N04 One of two closely related alkaloids isolated from Cynanchum vincetoxicum, 40 this base contains three methoxyl and one hydroxyl group in the molecule.
Few other details of this base have been reported. , yields this alkaloid which forms colourless crystals from Me 2 CO. The structure is still unknown. , this base occurs only in small amounts and has not been fully investigated. Yunusov, Yunusov, Khim. Prir. p. 275-6°C (dry). Convolvulus subhirsutus Rgl. et Schmalh. furnishes two minor alkaloids which have been investigated by Russian workers. p. 214°C. The structure has not yet been determined.
