Citing Sources with Footnotes If you cite outside sources in your business plan, it is important to credit them properly with footnotes. Word automates the process so the numbering is always correct. You may decide later to alter the page setup in specific parts of your business plan. Or you may already know that the page setup will differ in certain areas. That is okay.
